John A. Graff 1958-2024

POLAND — John A. Graff, 66, died Thursday morning, Oct. 10, 2024, at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born July 6, 1958, in Youngstown, a son of Paul and Margaret Sneck Graff, and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a 1976 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and completed his nursing training at the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. He worked for many years as an RN for St. Elizabeth, including the SICU, and then transitioned to a clinical data analyst until his retirement in August 2024.
He was a member of Holy Family Parish in Poland.
John had a way with people and enjoyed making everyone laugh.
Besides his wife, the former Judith Kraiosky, LPN, whom he married Dec. 13, 1980, he leaves his three children, attorney Megan (attorney George) Millich of Poland, Kaitlin (Joshua Hill, LPCC) Graff, LPCC of Niles and John Graff, MD (fiancee, Caroline Canelas, MD) of Canfield; three sisters, Alice Matey of Trenton, New Jersey, Mary Kaye (John) Morris of Hubbard and Peggy (Frank) Samsonow of Sunbury, Ohio; four brothers, Paul (Marilyn) Graff of Canfield, Timothy (Joyce) Graff of Rockville, Virginia, Christopher (Dee Dee) Graff of Poland and Peter (Jenny) Graff, also of Poland; two grandsons, Lazarus and Ignatius Millich; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant son.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, at Holy Family Church in Poland.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m., prior to the Mass at the church Tuesday.
