Emma Lee Robinson 1929-2024

Born Dec. 14, 1929, in Fawnsdale, Marengo County, Alabama, Emma Lee was the daughter of William Lucas and Lenase Maiden Johnson.

She attended Pell City Training High School and received her GED on June 6, 1986. A domestic worker and a retired beautician, Emma was of the United Methodist faith, where she was supportive of her daughter Rev. Darlene Robinson’s ministry.

She enjoyed playing the guitar, doing comedy and loved being with Elyria, Euclid and Youngstown church family and friends.

Emma Lee leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Rev. Darlene Robinson of Elyria; grandchildren, Dasan (Leticia) Robinson of Chicago, Illinois, and David Robinson and Dennis Robinson, both of Elyria.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wayne Keith Robinson; stepfather, Nelson Johnson; a sister, Rosa Lee; and son-in-law, Rev. Dr. Dennis Robinson.

Services are as follows:

Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024 — Calling hours 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., H. R. Martin Funeral Home, 3856 E. 131st St., Cleveland, OH 44120.

Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 — Calling hours 10 to 11 a.m., with a homegoing celebration at 11 a.m., Providence Baptist Church, 24111 Rockwell Drive, Elyria, OH 44117.

Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 — graveside / committal service 11 a.m., Tod Homestead Cemetery, 2200 Belmont Ave. Youngstown, OH 44505.

Memorial donations can be sent to Cory United Methodist Church or St. Matthew United Methodist Church.
