Dana Michelle Coyier 1993-2024

Dana was born Nov. 23, 1993, in Youngstown, the daughter of Gordon A. Coyier and Tamara McOwen, and was a lifelong area resident.

Dana graduated from Youngstown Christian School in 2012. She began her career at Burger King on Mahoning Avenue in Youngstown, where she was promoted to district manager, a role she took great pride in. However, her true calling was being a devoted mother to her two sons, Greyson and Jaxson. She eventually chose to dedicate herself full-time to raising her boys, who were the center of her world.

Family was everything to Dana and she cherished every moment spent with them. She loved taking her boys to local parks, where they would play and explore together. They often enjoyed playing Pokemon Go, creating countless joyful memories. Dana’s infectious smile and kind heart made her a bright light in the lives of all who knew her and she will forever be remembered as their sunshine.

Dana is survived by her life partner, Robert J. Moore; her two precious sons, Greyson and Jaxson, at home; her mother, Tamara McOwen of Youngstown; her three sisters, Danielle (Anthony) Brannan of Hubbard, Holly Coyier and Jennifer Coyier, both of Youngstown; four brothers, Ryan Coyier, Gordon Coyier, William Mintler and David; her grandmother, Mary Lou Coyier; many extended family members and friends, including nieces, Julia Brannan and Noelle Coyier; nephews, Dylan Brannan and Jayden Datko, and Rob and Ailene Moore, Carolyn and Paul Moore, Terri and Jim Centafanti, and Jen Marshall.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon A. Coyier; her brother, Michael Stevenson; her grandmother, Kathryn Musgrave; and her beloved dog, Izzy.

A celebration of Dana’s life will be 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a memorial service will take place at 3:30 p.m.
