HUBBARD -- Raymond Michael "Ray" Huber, 64, passed away at his home Sunday, Sept. 14, 2024.
Ray was born June 16, 1960, in Youngstown, the son of Patricia Vander-Veld and Michael Huber.
Ray's free spirit touched everyone he encountered.
He attended Lowellville High School and went on to build a career as an optician and owner and operator of RMH Optical, where his skill and care were appreciated by many.
Ray's true passion was music, and he could often be found with his guitar in hand. His love for playing and performing brought joy to his family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of listening. Ray was also a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Hubbard, where he enjoyed singing in the choir.
He is survived by his parents, Patty Vander-Veld and Michael Huber; children, Jesse (Sarah), Alex and Michaela; sister, Kelly (Ted) Pitzulo; and a brother, Tim Huber.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Robin Huber, who remained the love of his life.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. memorial service Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman.
Ray will be remembered for his spirit, his music, and the light he brought into the lives of those he loved.
