Kenneth Ruff 1941-2024
AUSTINTOWN — Kenneth Ruff, 82, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, at Hospice House in Poland.
He was born Dec. 14, 1941, in Wrights, W.Va., the son of the late Frank Ruff and Norma Worley Ruff. After completing high school, Kenneth went on to join the United States Navy, where he spent four years serving his country.
On June 4, 1966, Kenneth married the love of his life, Carol Karr Ruff, whom he spent 58 loving years with, building a home and raising their two children, Donna and Diane.
Kenneth worked as a tool-and-die maker at GM Lordstown for 32 years before retiring to enjoy wintering in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball, skydiving, hunting, fishing and golfing. He was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Fitch Falcons, the Cleveland Indians and the Browns any chance he got.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carol; his two daughters, Donna (Dale) Alflen and Diana Ruff; a brother, Clyde (Joan) Ruff; and three granddaughters, Amanda (Mike) Alflen, Jenna Alflen and Darian Mansell.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Margaret Ward, Ernest Ruff and Ray Ruff.
Family and friends may call 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, at Lane Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, with a service to follow at 3 p.m.
