Cynthia L. Knutti 1960-2024

MINERAL RIDGE — Mrs. Cynthia L. Knutti, 64, passed away Friday afternoon, Sept. 13, 2024, at her residence, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Jan. 20, 1960, in Youngstown, a daughter of Benedict and Gertrude Rochford Crocker.

Cynthia was a 1978 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and worked as a secretary / receptionist for Extreme Machine and Fabrication in Hermitage for more than 20 years, retiring in 2022.

She married William W. Knutti Jr. on Sept. 3, 1977. They met on her 16th birthday and went on to share 47 years of marriage and many happy memories together. He survives her.

Cynthia enjoyed traveling all over the world with her husband while he served in the U.S. Air Force and after. She was active with the Girl Scouts, serving as a troop leader, and she was very active in high school theater where she met her husband and many lifelong friends. She also enjoyed playing bingo with her sister CeCe and loved hosting the holidays, especially Christmas. Her greatest joy was her beloved family and bringing everyone together, and spreading joy and happiness. Cynthia was a kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Besides her husband, Cynthia is survived by two children, Kristi D. (Jeffrey) Walizer Jr. of Frederick, Maryland, and William B. (Heidi) Knutti of Louisville. She also leaves behind a sister, Cecelia McNair of Mineral Ridge; a brother, Daniel Crocker of Maine; two granddaughters, Keira and Violet; a brother-in-law, Jim; sister-in-law, Lisa; sister-in-law, Kathy; her beloved cockapoo, Tolly; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sharon Correia; and a brother, Michael Crocker.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral services or calling hours. A celebration of Cynthia’s life will be take place 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, at Louisville First Baptist Church, 1910 Monter Ave., Louisville, OH 44641.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in Cynthia’s memory.
