Margaret Fox 1932-2024

POLAND — Margaret “Peggy” Fox, 92, passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024, at Christian House Home Health and Assisted Living in East Palestine.
Born May 1, 1932, in Poland, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd Sr. and Mildred Ramage Newell.
Peggy attended Poland schools and later graduated from Choffin Nursing School. She met the love of her life, Lawrence T. Fox Sr., and they were married Aug. 27, 1948, at Poland Center Little Red Schoolhouse.
She was a LPN at both Southside and Northside hospitals for 30 years until her retirement in 1997. She took pride in displaying tender love and care to each patient for whom she cared.
Throughout Peggy’s life, she always put others before herself. Family was one thing that was most important to Peggy. She loved going on trips with her family in their motor home to numerous destinations in the United States. She enjoyed hosting her family for the holidays, family dinners and reunions. There’s no doubt that Peggy’s greatest joy was being a loving mother, grandmother, and “GG.”
She was a member of Poland Christian Church and enjoyed playing cards with the Holy Family Seniors Group.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories three children, Lawrence Fox Jr. “Butch,” Michael (Laurie) Fox and Lucinda “Cindy” Fox, all of Poland; grandchildren, Heidi Thompson, Lawrence III “Butchie” (Amanda) Fox, Beth (Matt) Mason, Becky (Bill) Gaither and Mike Jr. (Anne) Fox; great-grandchildren, Markeshia, Stacia, George, Ashlynn, Cameron, Logan, Ben, Jack and Walter; and great-great-grandchildren, Terren, Mia, Maya-Lynne, Jackson, Braxton, Greyson, George, Gannon and Griffin.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses, Lloyd (Eileen) Newell, Betty (Ernest) Cikovich, Lillian (Bill) Berdie and Caroline (John) Cowden; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Fox.
Calling hours will be noon to 1:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m., at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers, OH 44471.
She will be interred privately with her husband in Poland Riverside Cemetery.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to Christian House for their wonderful care of Peggy the past two years.
