Judy E. Pezzano 1940-2024

She was born Jan. 13, 1940, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Samuel and Catherine Valentine Blick, and was a lifelong area resident.

After graduating from South High School in 1958, Judy went to work in the corporate offices of Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co.

After raising her family, she later went to work at Williams & Company. In 1990, Judy started working at the Easterseals Society, where she spent many years until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Patrick Church and St. Charles Church, and attended Mass at the monastery.

Judy was an avid reader; she enjoyed being outdoors and planting flowers around her home, and loved going on family vacations.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Frank C. Pezzano, whom she married Aug. 31, 1968; son, Frank C. (Christina) Pezzano Jr.; daughter, Lisa (fiancé, Todd Higgins) Rygiel; and grandchildren, Samuel Pezzano, Madilyn Pezzano, Violet Rygiel and Ridge Rygiel

Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel “Ronnie” Blick.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, at St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Kraszewski.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
