Catherine Jones, 1947-2024

Mrs. Jones was born June 21, 1947, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Hobert and Catherine Hubinsky Morse.

She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Boardman.

Catherine retired from General Electric Lamp Plant in Youngstown and later in Warren, where she made her career.

Mrs. Jones leaves her beloved husband, Charles Jones, whom she married on June 1, 1993; as well as her nephew, Raymond (Maria) Canton; and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Canton.

Family and friends may call from 10 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024, at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive in Boardman, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Bob Quaintance officiating.

Burial will take place in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman.

The Jones Family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Catherine’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.

The family would like to thank Aventura at Assumption Village for the love, care and support that was given to Catherine and her family at this time.
