NEWTON FALLS — Patricia A. Cavucci, 77, formerly of Newton Falls, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, July 23, 2024, at the Country Club Rehabilitation Campus of Newton Falls.

She was born Feb. 5, 1947, in Youngstown, the eldest daughter of the late Herbert D. and Dorothy M. Kline Shade.

Pat was a 1965 graduate of Jackson Milton High School. She worked for the former Packard Electric Corp. in Warren prior to having her children. After raising her family, she worked for Mahoning National Bank for several years, retiring in 2004. She married the love of her life, the late Paul Cavucci on Feb. 17, 1968, and had two children, a son, Michael Paul, and a daughter, Stephanie Ann.

Her husband preceded her in death, Oct. 15, 2012.

Pat was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes / St. James Parish in North Jackson. She was a loving, caring mother who devoted her time to her children’s extracurricular activities. Through the years she was involved in craft clubs, the Red Hat Society, and bocce and bowling leagues. She loved going to El Carlos Restaurant in Lake Milton every Tuesday. She enjoyed watching movies, traveling and dinner dates with her husband. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two children, Michael P. (Michelle) Cavucci of Roundhill, Virginia, and Stephanie A. (Michael) Anthony of Lordstown. She also leaves behind a brother, Gary (Barbara) Shade of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Kaiden, Rylie and Seth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, Patricia was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Evans.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Our Lady of the Lakes / St. James Parish in North Jackson, with the Rev. David Merzweiler as celebrant.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour prior to the funeral Mass on Tuesday, at the church.
