Michael J. Stevenson 1983-2024
YOUNGSTOWN — Michael James Stevenson, 41, passed away early Friday morning, July 12, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital due to injuries sustained from a traffic accident on Thursday.
Michael was born Jan. 19, 1983, in Youngstown, a son of James Stevenson and Tamara McOwen, and was a lifelong area resident.
He was self-employed as a mechanic and truly enjoyed working on cars, which was his life.
Mike is survived by his parents, James Stevenson and Tamara McOwen of Youngstown; his grandmother, Margaret Stevenson of Youngstown; his two sisters, Danielle (David) Brannan of Hubbard and Dana Coyier of Austintown; a brother, Ryan Coyier of Youngstown; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members.
His maternal grandmother, Kathryn Musgrave; paternal grandfather, Dean Stevenson; and beloved canine companion and best friend, Tito, are deceased.
Family and friends may gather to pay respects 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Mike’s family suggests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
