Henry W. Louttit 1941-2024

AUSTINTOWN — Henry W. Louttit, 83, known fondly as Pat, passed away peacefully, Saturday afternoon, July 20, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Born March 17, 1941, in Youngstown, to the late Henry Koloman and Clara “Betty” Elizabeth Wilson Louttit. Pat grew up in Poland and graduated from Poland Seminary High School in the Class of 1959. He pursued a career as an electrician with IBEW Local 64.

Pat had a passion for inventing and fixing things. His inventive spirit and love for creating solutions that simplified life were truly remarkable. In his leisure time, he enjoyed riding his yellow Harley, following race car events like NASCAR, swimming in his pool, and later in life, became a loyal supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Pat had a soft spot for all animals, particularly his beloved dogs, Chubbs and Chase, and he especially loved spending his time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his sons, Kenneth (Cheri) Louttit of New Middletown and John (Tina) Louttit of Newton Falls; five grandchildren, Meghan (Joe), Michael (Shelby), Ian, Dylan and Seth; as well as three great-grandchildren, Jessa, Emma and Leo.

In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his son, Dean; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Louttit; his former wife, Georgia Louttit; and sisters, Norma Brandon and Arlene Eckenrode.

Respecting Pat’s wishes, there will be no formal services or visitation held.

In memory of Pat and his love for animals, his family requests any gifts take the form of contributions to Animal Charity of Ohio or Noah’s Lost Ark.

The Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman is handling the arrangements. Condolences can be shared at www.beckerobits.com in memory of Pat’s legacy.
