Ronald T. Maruskin 1938-2024

It was a cold December night when Ron was born in Youngstown, the son of late parents Joseph and Mildred Maruskin. He was followed in time and survived by a sister, Elaine Havrilla, and brother, Maurus Maruskin.

He attended Ursuline High School and graduated in 1956. After graduation he attended Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in Cincinnati. Upon leaving the seminary, he subsequently got married and had two wonderful children, Kevin and Kristen, followed by three lovely grandchildren, Hayley, Emily and Jack. All presently live in Maryland.

Educationally, he received a doctorate from Kent State University, with attendant work as a school psychologist in Trumbull County and as a teacher at Youngstown State University. He dearly loved his family and friends, but according to God’s plan passed on to the heavenly gate.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Ron, 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, OH 44483.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the church, with the Rev. Ed Stafford presiding.

Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery.
