Kathleena M. Mascarella 1986-2024

She was born May 16, 1986, in Youngstown, a daughter of George and the late Sherry Cramer Mascarella.

She graduated from Nordonia High School in 2004, then went on to get her STNA certification, most recently working for Park Vista.

Katie was a kind soul with a heart of gold, always putting others first. She was a talented writer with a poetic flair, who loved sharing her thoughts through her words. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her Italian greens and steak. She was an avid animal lover, and especially adored her pets, including her loyal dog, Ozzy and her chatty parrot, Alex. She also had a knack for capturing life’s moments, always ready for a selfie. Her warmth, creativity and love for animals will be remembered fondly by everyone who knew her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Devon (Dakota Stanley) Andrews of Lowellville; her maternal grandmother, Mary Mascarella of Lowellville; her siblings, Rocco (Victoria) and Ashtyn Mascarella; her beloved aunt who raised her as her own, Margaret Cunningham of Lowellville; her uncle, David Mascarella of Lowellville; cousins, Margaret and David (Samantha) Mascarella; her godmother, Rose Mascarella; along with many extended family members and dear friends.

In addition to her mother, Katie was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Stella and Michael Loboy; maternal grandparents, Kathleen and James Cramer; grandfather, Michael T. Mascarella; uncles, Thomas and Joseph Mascarella.

Friends will be received from 3 to 5:50 p.m., followed immediately by a celebration of her life beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville.

She will be laid to rest privately in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
