Evelyn M. Meyers 1938-2024

She was born May 10, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of the late Raymond and Dolores Fisher Hilderhoff.

Evelyn attended East High School in Youngstown and worked in food service / deli for Giant Eagle in Austintown for 25 years, retiring in 2014.

She enjoyed cheering on her favorite sports teams, the Indians, Browns, Cavs and The Ohio State Buckeyes, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Raymond (Lynn) Cordova of Hubbard, Gregory Cordova of Youngstown, Frank (Tami) Meyers of Grove City, Ohio, Lisa (Jeff Allen) Yurcho of Austintown and Edward (Michelle Baughman) Meyers of Youngstown. She also leaves behind a brother, Charles (Brenda) Hilderhoff of Youngstown; three grandchildren, Anthony (Katie), Vincent (Emily) and Gregory; three great-grandchildren, Lennox, Miles and Etta; and a son-in-law, George Yurcho of Canfield.

Besides her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Cordova; her second husband, Frank Meyers; her son, Ronald Cordova Jr.; a brother, Ronald Hilderhoff and a sister, Norma McNutt.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, with Pastor Joel Theis officiating.

Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the funeral home.

Evelyn will be laid to rest in the Belmont Park Cemetery, Youngstown.
