Charlotte Ellis 1947-2024

YOUNGSTOWN — Charlotte Ellis, 76, passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, June 2, 2024, at Briarfield Manor.

Charlotte was born Dec. 7, 1947, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Guzzo Raschella and lived in the area most of her life.

A proud 1965 graduate of Ursuline High School, Charlotte pursued further education in cosmetology, establishing a successful beauty shop in her home where she delighted in making others look and feel their best. Her passion for helping others led her to Choffin Career Center, where she trained as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Charlotte dedicated over 20 years to caring for patients at Community Skilled Healthcare and Windsor House, demonstrating unwavering compassion and professionalism.

Charlotte greatly enjoyed traveling in her younger days, especially taking cruises or visiting the beach. She was always planning her next vacation to a warm destination, drawn to the allure of sun-drenched locales. Charlotte loved warm weather and bright sunny days. She had a zest for life that included a love for gambling and playing bingo. Charlotte had a deep passion for food. She enjoyed a good meal, always savoring each bite with gratitude and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. Known for her impeccable style, Charlotte was never seen without makeup and always enjoyed getting dressed up.

Charlotte leaves to forever cherish her memory her three daughters, Stephanie Kravec Agler of Youngstown, Heather Kravec Medved of Austintown and Raquel Kravec of Youngstown; nine grandchildren, Aaron Agler, Garrett Agler, Sam Pozzuoli, Sophia Pozzuoli, Stephen Medved, Victor Medved, Vincent Medved, Brittnee Bullen and Hunter Oliva; her great-granddaughter, Giovanna Pozzuoli; and her beloved dog, Theodore.

Her joyful spirit and love for good company and good food will be dearly missed.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Paul E. Ellis.

Family and friends may call from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
