Michael C. Logue 1956-2024

GIRARD — Michael C. Logue, 67, passed away peacefully, early Tuesday morning, April 30, 2024, at Hospice House, following a brief illness.

Michael was born Nov. 11, 1956, in Youngstown, the son of the late Patricia Tresnowsky Logue, and was a lifelong area resident.

He graduated from Girard High School in 1975 and dedicated 30 years of service as an electrical inspector for the City of Girard until his retirement in 2022.

A man of diverse passions, Michael was a former member of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Youngstown. He found joy in antique cars, particularly his cherished antique MG, and served as vice president of the Antique Car Club, Meander Chapter. An ardent supporter of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals, he relished in sports enthusiasm. Yet, his heart found solace in simpler pleasures, from fishing to the art of baking and crafting traditional Ukrainian dishes.

Above all, Michael treasured the time spent with his family. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his three daughters, Andrea Logue of Girard, Angela Logue (Alison Donnelly) of King of Prussia, Pa., and Lisa Peterman of Girard; his son, Christopher Logue of Girard; his four grandchildren, T.J. Logue, Madi Logue, Marcious Peterman and ZZ Peterman; and the multitude of extended family members and friends who were touched by his warmth and kindness.

Michael will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

His wife of 45 years, Karen Dunmire Logue, whom he married Oct. 16, 1976, died Sept. 8, 2021.

Family and friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 222 S. State St., Girard, where a prayer service will be held at 6 p.m.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the funeral home.

Committal services will follow at Girard Liberty Union Cemetery, where Michael will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife.

Michael’s family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Youngstown, OH 44514.
