William Eric Tanner 1959-2024

Eric was born May 20, 1959, in Youngstown, to the late William and Isabelle Tanner. He married the love of his life, Faith Jeanine Kupelian, on Nov. 20, 1983.

Eric was a master carpenter for more than 40 years. In the home he built, Eric was most often found cooking in the kitchen. He was renowned for his meatballs, green beans and biscotti. Eric loved taking his family on annual vacations, spending time with them outdoors and enjoying creation. These outdoor adventures even included Shadow, Kona and Ziva, his fur grandbabies.

Eric was known for his willingness to help anyone. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he enjoyed sharing his strong faith in the Bible’s promise of living forever in paradise.

Eric leaves behind his wife, Jeanine; and three children, Lauren (Matthew), Garrett (Sarah) and Brooke. In addition, there are many whom Eric loved as his own, including Dakota and her daughter, Irina, who affectionately called him Papa. Eric is also survived by his three siblings, Heidi (Ralph), Leeann (Kevin) and David; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Waypoint 4180, Canfield, on Saturday, May 4, 2024, with calling hours starting at 4 p.m. and a talk at 5 p.m. A livestream via Zoom will be available upon request.
