Roger P. Osborne 1954-2024

YOUNGSTOWN — Roger P. Osborne, 69, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024, at home, after longtime health issues.

Roger was born Oct. 12, 1954, to Harold and Marie Osborne. He attended Boardman Schools and MCCTC.

Roger was an Army veteran. He went to Fort Polk, Louisiana for boot camp, then was stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germaany, during the Vietnam War for much of his service career. After the service, he worked on the P&LE railroad on the wreck crew until the railroad was sold in 1993.

Roger is survived by his father, Harold Osborne; three siblings, Russ (Fran) Osborne of Boardman, Kathy Osborne of Cuyahoga Falls and Cheryl Jadallah of Boardman; his former wife, Kathy J. Osborne of Canfield; and several nieces and two nephews. He also leaves a host of friends, including Matt (Charity) Shearer, whom he had a longtime friendship with, and his wonderful neighbors, whom he was very close to, Dana and David Hill; their daughter, Natasha; his friend and neighbor, Willie; former neighbors, Mar and Jim; and his dog, Bubba.

Roger was predeceased by his mother, Marie Osborne, who passed away Dec. 14, 2022.

There are no calling hours or services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
