POLAND — It is with such heavy hearts and great sorrow we announce that Leslie Anne Dublino Tomko, 65, passed on to a new journey unexpectedly on Monday, April 8, 2024, surrounded by family.

Leslie leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Michael R. Tomko; and daughter, Taylor Nicole Tomko and her fiance, Ryan Stanley, of Ft. Myers, Florida; along with countless other family members and very dear friends.

She was born Feb. 2, 1959, in Youngstown. Leslie graduated from Boardman High School in 1977 and went on to pursue many talented, professional endeavors.

To know Leslie was to love her. She was a devoted wife, incredible mother and exceptional friend. Leslie’s love for life and humanity was immeasurable. There was not a single thing that she wouldn’t do for others and her loved ones. She loved to spend her time outdoors, working in her yard, gardening and enjoying the sunshine. Leslie also had an affinity for the ocean and loved spending time on her boat. She had a passion for cooking, and entertaining, and was known as a phenomenal chef. Her artistic and creative abilities shined through everything she touched.

She will be forever cherished for all her remarkable qualities and remembered for her strength, loyalty and passion. Leslie lived life to the fullest, always putting her loved ones first. She immensely touched the lives of all she came to know and will be deeply missed. Leslie was truly an angel sent from above.

Leslie spent her time between her homes in Naples, Florida and Poland, Ohio. She was an avid volunteer for over 25 years at Angels for Animals shelter, where she devoted innumerable hours. She never missed a single Friday volunteering in the cat wing nor missed the annual garage sale, where she raised thousands of dollars to help animals. Leslie could be remembered for her countless trips between her homes just to support this organization.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Dublino; mother, Marilyn Duprow (Tom); and sister, Marylynn Dublino.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a Christian Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at St. Christine Roman Catholic Church, 3165 S. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, OH 44511. The family will kindly receive relatives and friends at the church one-and-a-half hours prior to the service.

Michael and Leslie Tomko sponsored the dental wing at Angels for Animals and would love to continue to support Leslie’s passion for animals. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
