Kathryn L. Feld 1948-2024

BOARDMAN — Kathryn L. “Kathylynn” Endress Feld, 75, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024, at Hospice of the Valley in Boardman.

She was born July 27, 1948, in New Castle, Pa., the daughter of the late Woodrow and Regina Endress. She was a 1966 graduate of Neshannock High School.

Kathylynn was a registered nurse, but spent over 35 years as a professor of health professions and director of the medical assisting program at Youngstown State University.

Kathylynn and her late husband, Skip, loved to sail on their sailboat with its Pete the Penguin spinnaker on the Pymatuning Dam, a lake in Jamestown, Pa.

Kathylynn was a member of Mount Jackson Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon and involved in many activities. She was also a member of Eastern Star and the Christian Women’s Club.

Kathylynn was an avid fan of YSU football, attending all home games and many away games. She was also an avid YSU basketball fan, attending many boys’ and girls’ games.

She is survived by her brother, Ken (Diana) Endress; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve (Ann Marie) Feld, Charles (Mary Jean) Feld, James Feld, Francis (Chris) Feld, Tony (Marge) Feld and Mary Beth Hickerson. She is also survived by her special nieces and nephews, Erin Brunsman, Tim (Dawn) Endress, Greg, Keri, and Erin Feld, Alyssa (Steve) Vazquez, Blair Feld, Ashley Sogge, Andrew (Stephanie) Hickerson and Tyler (Emily) Hickerson. She is also survived by many great-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip “Skip” Feld; her parents; and her in-laws, Leo and Carmella Feld.

A caring cremation has taken place. At Kathylynn’s request, no services or memorial will take place.
