James E. Bogan Sr. 1943-2024

He was born Jan. 29, 1943, in Youngstown, a son of the late Tod and Anastasia Coleman Bogan Sr.

After graduating from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1962, Jim enlisted in the Navy. Upon his discharge, Jim was in management at Sparkle Markets, Giant Eagle and Dollar Tree.

He was a car buff and enjoyed hanging out with the Southside Boys and going to Florida to visit his children.

Jim leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Michelle L. (fiance John Fletcher) Heidecker; son, Dr. James E. (Sarika Patel) Bogan Jr.; brothers, Tod Bogan Jr. and Terry (Angela) Bogan; grandchildren, Alexandra Lynn McGee, James Bogan III, Anna Marie Bogan, John Heidecker and Jordan Heidecker; and five great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by brothers, Gerald, Larry and Patrick Bogan.

There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
