Guy Palombaro 1925-2024

BOARDMAN — Guy “Duke” Palombaro, 99, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Hospice House.

Born in Youngstown, March 30, 1925, Guy led a remarkable life filled with love, dedication and service.

Growing up on Davis Street in Girard, he graduated from Girard High School. Guy courageously served his country as a Navy SEAL during WWII and the Korean War. His commitment to duty and honor was evident throughout his life.

Following his military service, Guy dedicated 33 years of his professional career to Pepsi Cola as a dedicated salesman. Outside of work, Guy found joy in spending time with his family, savoring moments together and sharing a glass of wine any moment he could. He was cherished for his warm presence and infectious laughter.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #213, along with being involved in the Boulevard Tavern and Eagles Golf Leagues. Guy forged lasting friendships and made meaningful connections.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Frances Pauline Palombaro; the love of his life, his beloved wife, Angeline “Angie” Vecchione Palombaro, whom he married July 1, 1950, and who passed away June 9, 2019; son-in-law, Doug Cramp; brother, Albert Palombaro; and sisters, Madeline DiNardo and Mary Pasquale.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Carolyn Cramp of Poland and Mary Frances (John) DiMuzio of Boardman; grandchildren, Andrew (Tanya Cobey) Cramp, Toni (Tom) Geraghty of Cranberry, Pa., Genna Cramp, Matthew and Dominic DiMuzio; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Seamus and Conor; brothers, David “Butch” (Millie) Palombaro of Youngstown, and Raymond (Margie) Palen of Niles; sister, Diane “Dolly” (David) Leskovec of Girard; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will carry on his legacy.

Family and friends may call 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, at St. Luke Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at noon.
