Barbara A. Williams 1943-2024

POLAND — Barbara A. Williams, 81, formerly of McDonald, passed away peacefully, Thursday afternoon, April 18, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with her daughter by her side.

Barbara was born Feb. 26, 1943, in Sharon, Pa., a daughter of the late Victor Dyll and Helen Dendarsky Dyll. Barbara was raised in Hubbard by her mother and stepfather, Emmett Farmer, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a proud graduate of Hubbard High School and dedicated over three decades of her life to Packard Electric, where she worked diligently until her retirement.

Mrs. Williams was of the Catholic faith and a former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald.

Following her marriage to John Williams, the couple settled in McDonald, where they welcomed their beloved daughter, Christine. Family meant everything to Barbara, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.

Barbara had a profound love for animals, finding joy in their companionship throughout her life. She had a passion for music and found solace in its melodies. Among her favorite pastimes were playing games, particularly Scrabble, where her competitive spirit shone through.

Those who knew Barbara will remember her as a kind, gentle and generous soul, with a hint of feistiness that added charm to her character. She offered unwavering support and never passed judgment, earning her a special place in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Christine M. Williams of Lakewood; her companion, Frank; and her beloved dog, Max.

Her husband, John Paul Williams; her mother and stepfather, Helen and Emmett Farmer; and her brother, Victor Dyll Jr., are deceased.

Family and friends may call 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.

Committal services will follow in Girard Liberty Union Cemetery, where Barbara will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.

Barbara’s family suggests memorial contributions be made to Angels for Animals, 4750 OH-165, Canfield, OH 44406, in Barbara’s memory.
