Stephen E. Brown 1984-2024

Mr. Brown, affectionately known as “Bo” and “Stebo,” was born Jan. 31, 1984, in Youngstown, a son of Orrin L. Sr. and Denise D. Dade Brown. Stephen was a 2002 graduate of Chaney High School and was employed with Diehl Kia of Hermitage, Pa. as parts manager. He was a member of Rising Star Baptist Church.

Stephen loved sports, especially golf, basketball and football, boating, music, movies, playing cards and video games. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys, Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Cavaliers fan. His passion, however, was being with his son and family.

Stephen was a U. S. Army Reserve veteran who earned marksmanship honors while in basic training. He also served his country honorably in Kuwait in Operation Enduring Freedom.

He leaves to mourn his passing, but to celebrate his life and legacy, his mother, Denise Brown of Youngstown; a son, Stephen Eliot Brown II of New Castle, Pa.; five siblings, April (Darryl) Alexander of Boardman, Sabrina Steele of Youngstown, Orrin L. Brown II of Charleston, South Carolina, Sarah D. Brown of Austintown and Nathan Z. Brown of Niles; special cousins, Courtney and Cameron Lovett; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Orrin Sr.

Visitation will be 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, with funeral services at 10 a.m., at Rising Star Baptist Church, 2943 Wardle Ave., Youngstown, OH 44505. Guests are asked to wear masks.
