Carol Weller 1944-2024

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — Carol “Nana” Weller, 79, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024. Florida.

She was born June 17, 1944, in Johannesburg, South Africa, the daughter of Henry and Eileen Gardner.

Carol was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known for her kindness, love and fun-loving spirit and always made everyone feel important. She married the love of her life, Jack, on Nov. 9, 1991. They spent 32 wonderful years together. Carol was the glue that held her family together. To her daughter, she was the world. To her grandchildren, she was their inspiration. She held a special place in her heart for her dog Banjo. Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Carol had a passion for traveling, golf, shopping, visiting casinos, fine dining and watching Shark Tank and Fox News. She was a vibrant soul who enjoyed life to the fullest.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Weller; her daughter, Caron (Jeff) Solomon; her stepchildren, Mark (Michele) Weller, Kristen Shaffer and Andrew Weller; and grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan, Megan, Marisa, Kayla, Karli, Mark, Drew, and Sophia. She is also leaving behind her great-granddaughter, Mia; her two nieces, Dana and Megan; and brother, Richard Gardner.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Eileen Gardner; and brother, Bryan Gardner.

Carol Weller will be remembered for her love, laughter and the lasting impact she had on all those around her. May she rest in peace.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024 at St. Edward Catholic Church, 238 Tod Ave., Youngstown, OH 44504. A celebration of life will follow at the Youngstown Country Club, 1402 Country Club Drive, Youngstown, OH 44505.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center, 1044 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, OH 44501; or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
