Brian E. Cristal 1965-2024

YOUNGSTOWN — Brian E. Cristall, 59, affectionately known as “Cheeks,” passed away at home, Sunday, March 24, 2024.
He was born in Youngstown, Feb. 14, 1965, a son of Patricia and Charles Cristall.
Brian graduated from Canfield High School in 1983 and further pursued his passion by attending MCCTC for the welding machine trade. Brian was a dedicated concrete laborer through Local 125, showcasing his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft. Throughout his career, he worked for various concrete companies such as BNB, USA Concrete, Mascaro and O’Neil.
One of Brian’s proudest accomplishments was his diverse range of talents. From tending to his vegetable garden and canning tomatoes and peppers, to whipping up his famous pasta sauce and barbecue ribs, Brian’s skills extended far beyond the construction site. In the hearts of those who knew him best, Brian will be remembered for his kind spirit, unwavering dedication to his work, joking personality, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Phillips Cristall; mother, Patricia Foley; sister, Bernadette Cristall (James Wakeford) of Canfield; numerous nieces and nephews; many brothers and sisters-in-law, and his beloved dog, Henry.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Cristall; brother, Bradley J. Cristall; nephew, Dominic Drummond; mother and father-in-law, Ida and Charles Phillips; and loyal canine companions, Valentina and Davinci.
Family and friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, 3701 Starr Centre Drive, Canfield, OH 44406.
Prayers will begin at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., at St. Christine Church.
