Sherry L. Barnett 1949-2024

Sherry was born June 19, 1949, in Russellville, Alabama, a daughter of the late James and Margaret Manselle Rudd. She worked at Lake Milton State Park for 20 years.

Sherry loved to shop and enjoyed gardening. She had a passion for cooking, and according to her family, had every kitchen appliance ever made! Most importantly, Sherry loved her family and her dogs, and looked forward to spending time with them.

She was a military wife for 20 years before settling in North Jackson.

She leaves her husband of 57 years, Jack Barnett; two daughters, Kimberly (Scott) Barnes of Salem and Jennifer Barnett of Boardman; and her son, Rick (Rebecca) Barnett of Canfield. Sherry also leaves two sisters, Tina Raper of Russellville and Pat Jardigan of Red Bay, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her father, James Rudd; and her mother, Margaret Todd; she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Pivarnik.

Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel, 907 S. Jackson Ave., Russellville, AL 35653, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.
