Richard J. Groscost 1968-2024

Richard was born March 13, 1968, in Hubbard, to Jane Jovenall Trobek and David Groscost. He was a graduate of Hubbard High School and honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Gulf War. Richard enjoyed target shooting and betting on “the ponies.” He was a die-hard sports fan who followed the Pittsburgh Pirates, Penguins and Miami Dolphins. Richard loved attending the games with his daughter and son.

He is survived by his daughter, Sara Groscost of Pittsburgh, Pa.; son, Christopher Groscost of Sharpsville, Pa.; beloved dog, his blue heeler, Kira; mother, Jane (Jack) Trobek; father, David Groscost; brothers, Chris (Stephanie) Groscost and Brian (Tonya) Groscost; aunts, Donna (Joe) DeMay and Rosie (George) Sablack; and nieces, Kaitlin and Olivia Groscost.

Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jennie and Dominic Jovenall, and Elizabeth and Charles Groscost.

Per his request, no services will be held at this time.

Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
