Dorothy Baughman 1941-2024
ANDOVER — Dorothy Baughman, born May 4, 1941 in Youngstown, passed away peacefully in Andover on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at the age of 82.
A dedicated student, Dorothy attended St. Patrick’s school in Youngstown and was a member of the first graduating class of Cardinal Mooney High School in 1959. She then joined the inaugural class of radiology technologists at St. Elizabeth Radiology and later advancing her education in nuclear medicine. Dorothy’s career as a radiologic technologist spanned an impressive four decades and included positions at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Mercy Health Salem Hospital and Southwoods X-ray & Imaging. She was instrumental in training many nuclear medical students and left a legacy of knowledge and skill in her wake.
She is survived by her devoted cousins, Margo Hornyak and Margaret Williams; as well as her lifelong friends, Mary Ellen LeViseur and Diana D’Augistino, who were her pillars of strength and support in her later years. In addition to her loving cousins and friends, she is remembered by numerous other cousins.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Madeline Baughman, and her Aunt Katherine Tobin, who held special places in her heart.
Dorothy was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Church in Youngstown, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date.
