APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. -- Daniel Martin Miller, 86, peacefully passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024.
He was born Feb. 6, 1938, in Dora, Pa. Daniel was a loving parent and grandfather, known for his kindness and generosity. He had a positive and quiet demeanor, always ready to lend a helping hand to others.
Daniel had a fulfilling career, working at Crawford Furniture from 1956 to 1966, and then at General Motors from May 1966 to January 1998. His dedication and hard work made a lasting impact on those he worked with.
Daniel's faith was an important part of his life, and he found solace in worshiping at Epiphany of Christ Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church. He cherished the sense of community and spirituality these places of worship provided.
In his free time, Daniel enjoyed playing guitar, attending church services, golfing, socializing with friends, watching old Westerns, and most of all, spending quality time with his family. His love for his family was evident in the strong bonds he shared with his wife, Betty Miller, whom he married Aug. 7, 1959, at St. James Church in Pennsylvania and they had three children. Daniel is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Karen Snyder; his brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Connie Snyder; his daughter and son-in-law, Shari and Tim Phillips; his son-in-law, Jon VandenBosch; his grandson, Daniel Connelly and his wife, Katherine Connelly; his granddaughter, Amber Stanko, and her husband, Paul Stanko; his granddaughter, Traci Connelly and her husband, Jason Terry; his grandson, Lance Miller and his wife, Elizabeth Cessna; and his granddaughter, Karli Miller Collins; 18 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Daniel was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Miller VandenBosch; his son, Douglas Miller; his mother, Jennie Bish Snyder; and his father, Charles Miller. Their memories will forever be cherished.
His last act of kindness was the donation of his body to science.
A service to celebrate Daniel's life will be held at a later date.
