Jacqueline C. Vince 1938-2023

Jackie was born April 28, 1938, in Niles, the daughter of Augustino and Julia Mozzillo Scaglione.

She had worked as an office assistant, but for most of her life she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family.

Jackie was a member of St. Rose Church. She enjoyed cooking, painting crafts and was an excellent piano player.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 66 years, Edward E. Vince, whom she married July 25, 1957; her children, Denise (Dr. Gary) Midla of Martinsville, Indiana, Ed (Karen) Vince of Dublin and Susan Vince of Girard; sister, Barbara (Nick) Melfi of Girard; brother, Gus (Kris) Scaglione of Girard; grandchildren, Scott (Lina) Midla, Marty (Katie) Midla, Ryan Vince and Kate Vince; and great-grandchildren, Nadia, Dexter and Nicholas.

She was preceded in death by her half-sister, Virginia Boris.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, at St. Rose Church.

Jackie will be laid to rest in Girard City Cemetery.
