YOUNGSTOWN -- Ronald E. Rhodes, 72, passed away Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, at his residence.
Ronald was born May 30, 1951, in Youngstown, the son of William and Barbara Abbott-Hall Rhodes. He was a 1970 graduate of McDonald High School.
Ron served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He worked for the U.S. Steel for 15 years and American Insulated Glass Company for 14 years.
He will be remembered and missed by his wife, Joan Leonard Rhodes, whom he married Feb. 5, 2004; his son, Billy (Danielle) Rhodes; grandson, Bryson; granddaughter, Addison; stepdaughter, Nicole (Josiah) Wheeler; and stepgrandson, Josiah Jr. of Poland; his sister, Barbara (Donald) Flipin; brother, George (Peggy) Hall of Niles; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Donald Rhodes; brothers, Alvin Hall and Harold Abbott; and sister, Debbie Huston.
The family will receive family and friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, Blackstone Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin 1 p.m., immediately following visitation, with military honors to follow.
Ronald will be laid to rest in Tod Homestead Cemetery.
