Marlane Puskas-Joyce 1953-2023

Marlane was born Jan. 31, 1953, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Milan Puskas and Madeline Kollar Puskas and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a 1971 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and worked as a social worker with Mahoning County Job and Family Services, in the welfare office for over 40 years, a position she truly enjoyed.

Marlane was a member of St. Christine Church.

She enjoyed traveling and supporting local bands, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Marlane leaves to forever cherish her memory her son, Denny Lee Joyce of Youngstown; her daughter, Tara Marie Joyce of Sanford, Florida; and her former husband, Dennis P. Joyce of Youngstown.

Besides her parents; a brother, Paul Puskas, preceded Marlane in death.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside committal service at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at Resurrection Cemetery, 300 N. Raccoon Road, Austintown.

In lieu of flowers, Marlane’s family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society via their website, https://donate.cancer.org/.
