Carole J. Krake 1938-2023
PALM COAST, Fla. — Carole J. Krake passed from this earth on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023.
She was born Aug. 13, 1938, to Edythe and Herbert Way in Youngstown. Her parents, and siblings Barbara Quinn and Dorothy Trotter, are deceased. Her remaining sibling, Herbert (Juanita) Way, lives in Canfield.
She married Thomas H. Krake on Jan. 15, 1957, they were married 58 years when Tom passed away on Aug. 30, 2015.
Carole leaves behind two daughters, Karen (Nick) Jordon, and Patty (Brian) Summers; five grandchildren, Nicholas (Lori) Jordon, Thomas (Cassie) Jordon, Jennifer (Derek) Emswiler, Eric (Alexandra) Tropepe, and Carolynne Tropepe; and eight great-grandchildren, Lilly, Abby, and Anna Jordon, Anthony Jordon, Emmerich and Alton Emswiler, Alaina and Emelia Tropepe.
Carole earned her cosmetology license in 1965 and ran her own beauty shop, until 1988. She was very creative and loved to sew, do many crafts and was a wonderful hostess for many gatherings and events.
She and Tom were very active in the AACA Club, Buick Club, and VMCCA in Canton. Carole was a friend to all she met and most loved caring for her family, home, and garden. She will be greatly missed by many people whose lives she touched, but we are comforted because she is Home with her Lord Jesus and her cherished husband.
A celebration of life will be held in Youngstown in February 2024, date, time and place to be determined.
