Maryann Wanless 1947-2023
YOUNGSTOWN — Maryann Wanless, 76, of Youngstown, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023.
She was born on March 5, 1947, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Elmer VanDyke and Mary Brennan VanDyke.
Maryann had lived in Youngstown for most of her life, and graduated from Boardman High School in the class of 1967. She married the love of her life, Perry Michael Wanless, on Oct. 27, 1990; and they enjoyed 24 years of marriage together, until his death on Feb. 27, 2015.
Maryann was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Richard VanDyke.
She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Alexander and her fiance, Eddie Molina of Columbiana; and two grandchildren, Kylia and Anthony Washington, and Chelsea Alexander.
Funeral services will be at noon, with calling hours from 11 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls, with Pastor Jennifer Dorn officiating.
She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Perry, in Hawley Cemetery in Paris Township.
