Ann Bubon 1931-2023
BOARDMAN — On Thursday morning, Sept. 7, 2023, Ann Bubon died in the presence of her family, following a lengthy illness.
She was born to Sam and Bertha Prodonovich of Midland, Pa., on Oct. 24, 1931. She was one of 18 children, of whom six brothers served during WW II. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, where she excelled at swimming and volleyball.
Later she married husband, Nick, of Campbell, and came to live in Youngstown, where they raised their nine children.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, where she sang in the choir in past years.
She was preceded in death by husband, Nick; daughter, Nancy; and stepson, Nick.
She is survived by daughters, Patricia Boehringer, Sharon Swager and Cathy Young; along with stepdaughters, Dolores Bowyer, Donna Meikle and Joanne Davis; sister, Patti Kosanovich; and son, Dan.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends by invitation.
Ann asked that any donations be made, in the name of Nancy Bubon, to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
“We are grateful to God that she will always be our Mom and she will be sadly missed by us all.”
