His magnetic YOUNGSTOWN –Together we mourn the loss of a beautiful soul, as Michael Anthony Riley, 34, has left us to be with the Lord.

Michael was joyfully welcomed into the world by Jodi Marie and John Joseph Riley at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital on Jan. 12, 1989. He was raised in Leetonia. As a youth, Michael was involved in Cub Scouts and enthusiastically participated in weightlifting and all kinds of sports. He attended Leetonia High School, and the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center Class of 2007. His magnetic personality acquired him more friends than can be counted. He excelled in every subject, and so much at math that his teachers still talk about him and when he won the math bee.

CCCTC is where he first pursued his passion of welding, which gave him an outlet to express his amazing creativity and expertise. He continued that pursuit by working at Keystone Metals as a fabricator. He then moved on to SFTDRV, which allowed him to actualize his dream of running his own blacksmith and fabrication business by incorporating his own business STFDRV Metals Ohio.

Michael was brilliant, funny and a kindhearted soul. When he loved, he loved with his whole heart. Once he was committed to something, he was dedicated, and that loyalty could not be persuaded. He was a truly genuine and strong-willed man. Everyone who knew him will miss his unique personality and sense of humor.

He is survived by his two beloved children, Danika Sweet Riley and Thomas Stanley Riley; his mother and father, Jodi (Darrell) Rimbey and John Riley (Jackie Lysowski); his grandparents, Norene Zlatkoff and Joe (Barb) Frank; siblings, Nicole Davanzo and Ashley Myers; uncles, David, Bob and Mark Riley; and aunt, Tammy (Dan) Woods; along with numerous cousins and friends he considered as family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marianne (Bruce) Riley and Andy Zlatkoff; and his brother, Daniel Davanzo.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Mount Carmel Ave., Youngstown, OH 44505, which will be immediately followed by a luncheon at the nearby Cassese’s M.V.R., 410 N. Walnut St., Youngstown, OH 44505.
