He was the beloved husband of 69 years to the late Frances H. Hentosh Krizancic; loving father of Robert Krizancic, Michele (Felix) Radon and Susan (Russ Tringali) Krizancic; cherished Grandpa Mick to Michael (Jessica) Radon, Thomas (Jennifer) Radon, Nicole (Christopher) Radon-Humphrey, Cole Krizancic, Conner Krizancic and Nathan Tringali; adored Great-Grandpa Mick to Gunner Felix Radon and Sienna Frances Radon; and dear brother of Ann Dovutovich, late Johnny and the late Chazz Krizancic. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mickey loved all sports. He played fast pitch softball for General Fireproofing from 1954 to 1964, and also played baseball and softball for teams in Kansas City, Shenango and the Mahoning Valley. Mick especially loved watching his grandchildren participating in football, basketball, gymnastics and dancing. He mostly enjoyed watching and traveling on the team bus with his son Bob’s basketball teams, winning two state championships at Girard and Mentor. He rarely missed a game in 35 years and was so proud to be involved in both programs.

Mick was also a very accomplished businessman, working in middle and executive management for Unysis in Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Chicago from 1963 to 1991, and then becoming CEO / president of Intelligent Micro Design, a computer memory chip design contractor, from 1994 to 2001. Mickey also enjoyed a political career and served as the City of Girard recreation director and president of council.

Besides sports and working, Mick enjoyed playing poker with his card club members for over 50 years, and truly enjoyed ballroom dancing with his beautiful wife, Frances, who predeceased him in 2021. They danced for years at Elms Ballroom, Yankee Lake Ballroom, Idora Park and Avon Oaks.

Mick and Fran moved to Western New York six years ago, where they developed many new friendships, while maintaining strong ties and friendships with their lifelong friends in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The family will be present 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2023, at the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home Inc., 5453 Southwestern Blvd., Hamburg, NY 14075, 716-646-5555, where prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2023, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Basilica.

Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. The Mass will be live-streamed on the funeral home website on Mr. Krizancic’s memorial page; please contact the funeral home with any questions.

HAMBURG, N.Y. — Joseph “Mickey” Krizancic, 90, formerly of Girard, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023.
