Robert J. Mohr 1959-2023

He spent years of his life working in various Youngstown steel industries, including Youngstown Sheet and Tube, and Youngstown Steel Door, where he was known as Dohgg, a nickname given by his grandfather at a very young age.

After an injury, he retired. He spent time with friends and family, often tinkering on anything with an engine. He loved classic cars, motorcycles, Motown and classic Blues music, as well as spending time in the city in which he was born and raised.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Delores Dittmar Mohr.

He is survived by siblings, Glenn Mohr, David Mohr and Lori Mohr; sons, John Mohr and Robert Mohr Jr., as well as “adopted” daughter, Sarah Heim; grandchildren, Aiden, Paisley, Olivia and Zachary; in addition to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

There will be a celebration of life honoring Bob at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution to your local food bank, or simply spend a day with family.
