Phyllis Coburn Paris 1949-2023

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Phyllis Coburn Paris, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Saturday, April 29, 2023, after an 18-month long battle with cancer.

She was born Phyllis Marie Hecker, on Oct., 15, 1949, in Warren, to parents Clyde and June Walsh Hecker. Phyllis attended Mineral Ridge High School and graduated in 1967. She then went on to secretarial school and private business for a short period of time, and decided to go to nursing school to become a registered nurse.

In 1978, Phyllis move to Ashtabula and worked at Ashtabula County Medical Center for over 30 years, with the majority of her time working in the emergency room, retiring in 2012.

She enjoyed working on their small farm and caring for a myriad of animals.

Phyllis and her husband, Bob Paris, moved to Florida in 2018.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and June Hecker; husband, Bob Paris; and a granddaughter, Allison.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Stacy Miller; granddaughters, Kylee and Aubree; and her brother, Dennis (Cathleen) Hecker.

Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ashtabula. Private family graveside services with a celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date.
