Michael J. ‘Mickey’ Gardner 1955-2023

Mickey was born in Youngstown on Sept. 28, 1955.

He attended Ursuline High School and the University of Notre Dame. He married Elaine Bechtel in 1980. Mickey had a long career in sales management, working for companies such as Polaroid and Hoshizaki. He was a member of Dogwood Church in Tyrone, Ga. Mickey was an avid reader, swimmer and car aficionado. He loved Notre Dame football!

Mickey is survived by children, Micah John (Whitney) and Abigail Christine (Craig Goldberg); siblings, Jane (Jerry) Sullivan, Judy (Bob) Gibson and Marty (Barbara) Gardner; numerous loving nieces and nephews; and many, many dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held in Youngstown at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Southwest Christian Hospice, 7225 Lester Road, No. 7225, Union City, GA 30291.
