Robert Cotic 1936-2023
ROGERS — Robert “Chick” Cotic, 86, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023, at his home with family by his side.
Robert was born Sept. 5, 1936, in Lowellville, the son of the late Mickey and Ann Barcevich Cotic.
He was a graduate of Struthers High School.
Robert formed a band at 14, and also filled in with other area bands.
He worked as a truck driver and repairman, until his retirement eight years ago. He owned and operated a shop at Rogers Flea Market for the past 20 years.
He loved watching the Molly B Polka Party. He had a happy-go-lucky personality and loved teasing his nieces and nephews.
Robert is survived by his sons, Jimmy (Lisa) Cotic, Jack (Suzie) Cotic, David (Kristine) Treharne and J.D. (Kelsey) Treharne; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; as well as his sister and best buddy, Evie Schepka; six nieces and nephews, six great-nieces and -nephews and numerous great-great-nieces and -nephews; and a special friend, Linda.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Susan Treharne, in 2014; a sister, Norma Hempstead; and brothers-in-law, Chuck Hempstead and Mickey Schepka; a grandson, Bobby Cotic; and a great-nephew, Brandon St.Pierre.
Following Chick’s wishes, no services will be observed.
