John A. Starkey 1962-2023

John was born June 9, 1962, in Salem, son of the late Robert and Carol Hostetter Starkey.

John was raised in Lisbon but had resided in New Springfield the past several years. He worked as a truck driver for Bobber Transportation, as well as other trucking companies throughout the years. He was an avid fisherman, golfer and Steelers fan. He loved spending time with family, most especially his grandchildren.

John is survived by his life partner, Jeanie Bihlman; three daughters, Elizabeth Krebs, Megan Starkey and Molly (Joe Defilippo) Starkey; four sisters, Valerie Buchanan, Jackie Wellman, Marjorie Bouch and Malinda Starkey-Hopfenziz; and seven grandchildren, Liliana, Brycen, Madelyn, Jaxen, Keegan, Liam and Riley.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2023, at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private burial will take place in East Carmel Cemetery at a later date.
