Gerald R. Cole 1954-2023
YOUNGSTOWN — Gerald “Jerry” R. Cole, 69, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at Oasis Center for Rehabilitation and Healing.
He was born Jan. 27, 1954, in Youngstown, to the late Grace Price and Gerald D. Cole.
Gerald proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from YMHA after 30 years.
He is survived by his sons, Ean Weidner, Clayton Mayo and Carl Drayton; daughter, Heidi Henry; sisters, Debra (Ronald) Coleman, Janice Price and Patricia Ellawndy; brother, Ricky (Dee) Price; sister-in-law, Patricia Weidner; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and all who loved and adored him.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death his wife, Mary Catherine Weidner Cole.
A caring cremation has taken place. Per Gerald’s request, no services will be held.
