Edward A. Traichal 1943-2023

He was born in Warren, on May 8, 1943, the son of James T. and Ruth Irene Phillips Traichal.

He was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and honorably served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a successful businessman, growing up in the family business, he was the sole owner of Traichal Construction Company and Warren Door Manufacturing Company.

Edward enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending the fall in Maine and the winter in Florida. He also was a member of the Niles Lions Club.

Edward is survived by his wife, Cheryl Kay Snowden Traichal; they were married Dec. 24, 2012, and they spent over 23 years together; stepson, Brian George of Mineral Ridge; stepdaughter, Stacy (William) Jerina of Cortland; stepgrandchildren, Kyle, Mason and Kenley; stepgreat-grandson, Rowen; numerous nieces and nephews, including niece, Christine Traichal-O’Hara.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald J. Traichal; and infant sister, Sally Traichal.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2023, at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will be at noon on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the funeral home, where family and friends may also call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Trumbull County Honor Guard.
