Erma ‘Jean’ Navy 1924-2022

STRUTHERS — Erma “Jean” Navy, 98, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, at Assumption Village in North Lima.

Erma was born Oct. 18, 1924, in Campbell, a daughter of John and Theresa Beck Ungar. She graduated from Campbell High School. She married John S. Navy on Aug. 14, 1970.

She worked as a waitress for most of her life at Twentieth Century Restaurants and Burnt’s Restaurant. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish-St. Nicholas Church and St. Anthony’s Women’s Auxiliary.

Erma leaves four daughters, Marcia L. Kopey of Akron, Charlene “Charlie” (Robert) Patterson of Cortland, Dorothy (Joe) Mackos of Youngstown and Patty Payne of Youngstown; seven grandchildren, Pamela A. Mackos, Bill and Angie Payne, Robby Payne, Jake and Ally Payne, Shawen M. Potter, Kenyatta J. (Shayne) Patterson and Baraka A. (Shannon) Patterson; 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, John Payne.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at Christ Our Savior Parish-St. Nicholas Church, 764 Fifth St., Struthers, OH 44471. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Erma will be interred, following the Mass, in Tod Homestead Cemetery.
