YOUNGSTOWN -- Annette Thomas Jones, 78, departed this life to reside with her Lord on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022.
Born July 21, 1944, in Greenville, Miss., she was the daughter of R. T. Thomas and Ophelia Washbrook. Annette was raised by Rollen and Bertha Smith.
Annette was a graduate of Wilson High School and Youngstown State University. An accounting CPA, she was the owner of AB & J Comprehensive until her passing.
She was also the caregiver for her husband, Bennett Jones, whom she married Dec. 27, 1966. Mr. Jones passed away Sept. 16, 2022.
She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Annette enjoyed ballroom dancing, skating and loved all number games.
Annette leaves to cherish loving memories, two sons, Bennett Neil Jones III and Douglas Benard Jones, both of Youngstown; a brother, Timothy Menton of Cleveland; a sister, Judith Menton of Youngstown; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, with family visitation at 10 a.m. and an Omega-Omega sorority memorial service at 10:15 a.m., at New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman Ave., Youngstown.
Masks are required and social distancing is to be followed.
