Judith Elliott 1940-2022

CANFIELD — Judith Elliott, 82, died peacefully Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at Omni Manor in Youngstown.

She was born Aug. 23, 1940, in Youngstown to the late Earl E. and Marion C. Wicks Elliott.

Following her graduation from East High School in Youngstown, she worked as a secretary for several local companies.

She was a longtime member and organist of First Presbyterian Church.

Judith devoted most of her life to service and she was a member of several Masonic organizations. Throughout the years, she achieved the following titles from her service: She was a past matron secretary of Eastern Star 278 Order of the Amaranth; she was the past royal matron of Progress Court 22 and secretary emeritus; and also was past worship high priestess of the White Shrine of Jerusalem 64. Her affiliation with these groups brought her great happiness and they all held a special place in her heart. She served them all with pride and loyalty.

Judith selflessly volunteered to serve both the Masonic Order and her church, First Presbyterian, during the many dinners that were sponsored. She truly lived a life of service.

She is survived by family members, including her sister-in-law, Susan Elliott of Canfield; her cousin, Barbara Wicks of Phoenix; and Nancy Wicks, Jennifer Wicks and Tracie Wicks, all of New Wilmington, Pa.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Marion Elliott; and her brother, Jack Elliott.

A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at the First Presbyterian Church, 201Wick Ave., Youngstown, OH 44503. Calling hours will be 30 minutes before the service.

You can remember Judith by recognizing her love for her Masonic sisters and brothers and the Hospice of the Valley and their most compassionate care during her most difficult days.

The family would like to thank the staff of Omni Manor for all the care and dignity bestowed on those in their care.
