Philip H. Estes 1949-2022
LAKE MILTON — Philip Henry “Hank” Estes, 73, passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 5, 2022; he was surrounded by family and loved ones on his departure to heaven.
Philip, the son of Ernest and Elinor Estes, was born July 10, 1949. He graduated from North Lima High School in 1967 as a football-loving Zipper. He was a proud union No. 744 boilermaker of Cleveland, where he started out building and repairing the steel furnaces of Youngstown.
Hank enjoyed golfing, socializing, people watching at the Canfield Fair, TV, drinking Coca-Cola and caring for his pets. He will be dearly missed and always remembered as fun-loving and loud soul.
Philip was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Elinor; and sister, Nadine.
He is survived by his children, Natalie, Brigit and Duke (Katie); his siblings, Jean, Kathie, Sandy (Larry) and Randy (Linda); and his grandchildren, Bailey, Charlotte, Skout and Brewer.
Hank requested a celebration of life in his honor. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at Halliday’s Winery, 2400 NE River Road, Lake Milton.
